FORE!!!

Well, I don't know about where you are, but here in Birmingham, we are under drought restrictions. We need rain so terribly that Gov. Bob Riley has declared June 30 - July 7 as Statewide Pray For Rain Week! We got our notice in today's mail that we will be fined if we use over 15,000 gallons of water a month! I asked Scot how many gallons we normally use and he said that we could have a 100 gallon a day leak and never use that much! I feel pretty safe that we won't pay any fines now. So, today Scot and Payton and Paxton met Joyce at the golf club and hit some practice balls. Payton is like me - all girl. I don't see her being the next Tiger Woods, but Paxton, now that's another story! If you look closely, you can see Paxton's ball and Scot's ball in the air!

We had expected Scot to be gone by now, but he is still at home. That is unusual and we are glad to be able to spend so much time with him. It seems harder on the kids when he is not here during the school year though. Scot passed his final CPCU exam - which is some fancy schmancy insurance thingy. BUT since he passed, we get to go to Hawaii in September! Isn't that nice??? We have never been and we have heard that it "ain't all that", but we would regret it if we didn't take this opportunity - so we are going! Children don't go, so Granny is going to come up and keep Payton and Paxton for a week while we are gone. Nana should free up her calendar - I bet Granny will need some help! Well, we hope you all are having a wet summer! Drop us a note!!!!

Hello Everyone!

Well, we are trying something new here. Since everyone is always so busy and it seems that we never have time to get together, we are going to blog about what is going on in our lives and you can stop by here and check it out! It will be a little rusty at first - we are just learning! But we hope you will stick with us and stop by often. Drop us a line and let us know what is up with you! Some good news to share is that over the course of 3 weeks in April, both Payton (on April 4th) and Paxton (on April 30th) prayed to receive Christ into their lives. Scot and I are very excited about what this means for them and the rest of their lives. Pray for us as a family as we continue to seek God's guidance as parents. We have a video of their baptisms, but for now, here are some pictures: We went to Gulf Shores for the first week of June. We had great weather and a great time! We are ready to plan next year's trip! Our only problem was the wind. It was hard for us to get family pictures this year because of the strong winds. But we will try again next year. Here are some pictures from the beach! Scot is at home right now after last week in Chicago. We are planning on seeing the Barons play Tuesday night and then rumor has it that Scot will be sent to Ohio. He can get email while he is away, so drop him a line sometime and say Hello! His email address is ScotPS23@aol.com I know he would love to hear from you! As usual, Beverly and I are planning our 3rd Annual BIRTHDAY BASH trip to Atlanta. We are going the weekend of July 13th - 15th. To say we are ready to go is an understatement. All we need are the cupcakes and milk!!!! Payton and Paxton register for school on July 26th. Right around the corner! Wow, time is flying. That is also the day that I leave on my 7 day trip with Joyce to see some sites that I have never seen. We will see fly to Rapid City, SD and see Mt. Rushmore, then travel by bus to see Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Billings, Montana, float down Snake River in Idaho and fly home from Salt Lake City! WHEW! Pray for me as I will be the youngest person on this trip!!! Should be interesting! Well, how is that for a "brief" summer update??? I am sure we will have more to say in the near future! Drop us a line and tell us what you think of our site and what you have been up to. If there is a particular song you would like us to add to our playlist, let us know that too! We will see what we can do! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
